Early in 1998 Roundabout was delighted to receive a telephone call from the King's Fund - a prestigious trust which had recently funded a Roundabout project. Roundabout was asked to make a presentation of its work at the Fund's Annual General Meeting, in the presence of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, the Fund's President.

His Royal Highness had requested that some of the groups funded by the Trust should be at the meeting, so that the Board and Trustees should have the opportunity to experience the results of some the Fund's grants.

Roundabout felt that a group of adults with learning disabilities, who attended a Day Centre in Greenwich, would be the most suitable. The group was approached and they enthusiastically agreed.

On the day, Deborah was our spokeswoman. She and Lynn were introduced and answered a few gentle questions. Then the group was presented, each one being given the opportunity to talk with the Prince individually. Finally, they went through a small presentation with Lynn, ending with a rousing rendition of the calling song, "Fly Like an Eagle".
